MARET is a non-profit all volunteer organization formed to assist in emergency evacuation of animals during a disaster and to temporarily house all animals until owners can retrieve their pets and return to their homes or until owners can secure more permanent housing.

MARET's services are free during emergency callouts, but some veterinary fees may apply.

MARET's goal is to assist all animal owners and their pets until the disaster is over and people and their pets can return to their homes safely.

MARET volunteers use their own vehicles, trailers and private owned equipment and some equipment received through a grant for rescue efforts when called upon.

MARET receives funding through community donations, private donations and grants.  The donations are used to buy equipment for housing and rescuing animals, training and certifying volunteers and for operating funds for fuel and equipment in the event of a disaster.

MARET also assists agencies and organizations in community awareness projects to assist families in preparing for a disaster before one occurs.

MARET's future goals are to assist in building three more MARET Teams in Wyoming to cover the entire state and to share resources in an emergency situation.

MARET is always recruiting volunteers in Wyoming and need other agencies within Wyoming to respond to the call.  Become a volunteer and make a difference in your community.
